Finally, an update!

Wow, it has been a while since I've updated! With all the camping, water skiing, running, soccer, it's no wonder time flies! Deana had her 12th birthday, and really enjoys being the "big dog" 6th grader in school. Dylan is 4, going on 12 now, and loves his preschool. He has asked me if he could go there "every year mom"! I have kept running and find I really enjoy getting out, and having 'my time'. Justin is such a great husband and keeps us all well taken care of, and also found it fun to learn more about great wine. We couldn't ask for better friends and family, and have settled down nicely in our new home. With all the holidays coming up, I am feeling more and more that I have to embrace every hour of every day. I can't get back this time in my life, and never want to look back and think...I should have....

As I am doing this update, I'm also reminded I need to pick up the camera and take more pictures of my baby before he's all grown up! :)

Our New Home!

We have finally settled in to our beautiful new home. We are truly blessed, and all of us have been enjoying it. Thanks to all our friends and family who helped and supported us, we really appreciate it, and love you guys!

Spring Show!

Dylan had his first school event this last week! It was a Spring Show, and so cute! They showed us what they have learned, and sang cute songs. Dylan was not the least bit shy, and sang and attempted all the moves. He is growing up so fast, and loves school, and his friends!!!

Four!!!

Dylan is four!! He had a great birthday this year, and was excited about it for a week before! Pa came to celebrate and Dylan was so pleased, he loves his Pa so much! He had all his friends to play with at Hollywood Connection, and ate lots of cake!

How long have you been together? Married over 4 years now, dated 3 years before that!


How long did you know each other before you started dating? Oh, 2 months (he was a charmer! :)

How old are each of you now? I'm holding on to my last year in my 20's, he's 34 (and even more handsome).


How tall are each of you? I am 5'8, and he's a sexy 6'0 (I LOVE tall!)


Whose siblings do/did you see the most? That makes me giggle, his FOR SURE! Mine do not live around us, his are all within 3-5 minutes driving distance!


Do you have any children together? 2, boy & girl.


What about pets? Oh no, no way. Justin hates pets, not even fish!

Are you from the same hometown? No, I'm from Washington, he's from Utah.


Who is the smartest? Well sometimes that is hard to judge, I like to say I have SOME brains! But he is smartest by far.


Who is the most sensitive? He is, wears his heart on his sleeve! :)


Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? Aruba for our honeymoon. (I think that's the farthest.....)


Who has the worst temper? Oh, that's tuff. I get mad easier, but when he does....watch out!


Who does/did the cooking? I do, but he cooks his share.


Who is more social? Me for sure, he is a home body and hates crowds....I say the more the marrier!!


Who is the neat-freak? We both like things neat and tidy...but neither are freaks about it.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me after our first date at the doorstep of my apartment, best kiss ever! Than he ran as fast as he could to his car....I guess I scared him!




Who has more tattoos? I do, he hates tats, but I got one before we were together...so he's gotta love that butterfly!




Who eats more sweets? Well, I for sure used to, but now I can't eat chocolate....so sweets are not nearly as good anymore.


Are you two still a couple? Oh yes, we are together till the end.....he's my bestfriend, and I could not live without him.

When I took Dylan in the other day to get his pictures taken, I was amazed at the beautiful little man we have. I had a little fun and so did the photographer dressing him up as a pilot like his dad. It makes me sad, happy and proud all at the same time to see him growing up. He truly takes my breath away.....

Another year younger!!!

Happy Birthday to me!! It's hard to believe this will be my last year in my 20's, but I hope to make the best of it! I had a wonderful birthday, Justin was the sweetest that he has ever been! He cleaned the house, made cheesecake and cupcakes (in my apron, but I will keep THAT picture to myself..hehe), and we had a few close friends over to celebrate. I was very spoiled and am now all set with a water belt and GPS watch for my 1/2 marathon! I'm very excited to run my first 1/2 marathon, or any kind of marathon for that matter. I have been busy training and have to admit feel a little younger than 29! I look forward to 30, as they say those are the best days of your life...WHOO-HOO!

Weekend Getaway!!

For the first time since our Honeymoon, we had a weekend getaway with no kids! We went with our good friends Angela and Kevin to Santa Barbara California. It was beautiful there, and nice to be out of the cold and in the sunshine. We had a blast (but missed the kids), and got a chance to go wine tasting, ate too much, and definately drank some!! The kids did really good for Grandma, although Dylan clung to his mom when we got back and won't let her out of his sight! We definately enjoyed the together time, with our attention only on one another. Love you babe, and want you all to myself! :)

Ringing in the New Year..Wii Style!

We had a great New Year's eve with great friends and fun. We were all playing Wii and having a blast. Dylan and Lucas were even awake at midnight, but sleepy. 3 cheers for 2009, may it be the best ever!!!!!!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS-2008

We had a wonderful Christmas, and were very blessed with family and love. Thanks to everyone who makes our lives special each and every day. We love you!! XOXO

All Aboard....

We took a ride on the 'Polar Express' a few weeks before Christmas. It was a bad day for weather, and cold up there in Heber (and the North Pole :) We had hot chocolate and cookies, sang carols, and got to talk to Santa and Mrs. Clause. We each got a special silver bell that we could hear because we truly 'Believe'. Dylan loved riding the train, and although he is growing up fast, there is still that love of trains. Deana had fun helping the elves and story teller, and mom and dad were happy for the safe trip up and back with all the snow. I enjoyed just being together.

Music Time!!!!

I have been very spoiled this year, and have to tell everyone about my beautiful new piano. No, not the Grand you see me sitting on, that was supposed to be my Christmas recital (which I went to late and missed!). Although one day I will have a Grand :) I got a brand new upright Boston, which is shiny black and has AMAZING sound. I am still not very good, but plan on taking lessons until I am so good, I can't stand it! :) I love to play what a beatiful insturment to listen to.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY

Sorry it's been awhile since I posted! I'm going to try and play catch-up. This Thanksgiving we went to Washington to visit my side of the family. We had a lot of fun with Pa and Dylan cried when he had to leave. We had dinner at my older sister Dawn's house, and had fun playing Wii and eating good food. We spent Thanksgiving day at Pa's and ate more food! We went to see the movie Bolt, Dylan's first movie theater experience. It was a cute show and Dylan loved it. We visited my mom and sisters and enjoyed the flight home. We are very thankful for everything in our lives, especially family and friends.

Deana turned the big 11 years old in October! She had a great time with her friends and had a great birthday this year.
