Right before Christmas, Deana and I had our first piano recital. Yes, I have started up piano again, and love it. This is Deana's first at learning, and seems to be a natural. I played for about a year and a half back when I was Deana's age, and am amazed at how much I learned and remembered! We had a big snow storm the night of the recital, so the crowd was small-which was good! Deana did EXCELLENT and played both of her songs like a pro, she is obviously good under pressure, unlike me! I know we are our own worse critic, but I was shaking like a leaf and screwed up both of my songs. I did manage to get through both of them, and keep going even after my mess up, so I guess I did OK. All in all it was fun, but I'm glad it's over, and am already dreading the next one! Justin was mad he had to work that night, but Dylan was right there to support us with his cheesey grin!

Happy Halloween
Oh the fun of Halloween. Deana was Hannah Montana this year and had long blone hair! I love dressing up, unlike Justin. The devil always has the way in coming out in me! Dylan again for the second year refused to wear a costume, even though you ask him what he is going to be and he'll tell you bop, bop (aka Thomas!) His mother being stubborn made him wear it for a picture, and as you can see he was not happy. He finally did wear it trick or treating though, which I was thrilled! My cake I made was the best part of it all! The kitty litter cake was really yummy, I promise! We got lots of candy, fun ,and family. A perfect night!
Pumkin Carving
Carving pumpkins is one of our traditions. This year the kids went to the pumpkin patch and picked theirs out. Even though Dylan is in his 3rd year of doing this, he still is unsure of weather he enjoys it or not! We ended up letting him draw on his and he loved it. Justin thinks I'm a total nerd when I turned on Halloween music for the event! I think he might be right!!! Deana can't wait to carve, and is getting more creative!
